Backyard Wedding on Lake amanda (Colmesneil, texas)
On July 8th, 2023, Jace & Hannah joined together as one with a lake wedding! The wedding took place at Hannah’s Aunt’s home on Lake Amanda in Colmesneil, Texas! It was a sweltering 94 degrees that day with lots of humidity, but it didn’t stop this couple! Hannah was getting hair and makeup done when I arrived so I grabbed some shots of her with her three sisters! So much love in one little space! I headed out to get some reception area photos and the detail ring shots! Then it was dress time! It was so wonderful to watch Hannah’s three sisters help her get ready and get her perfect for walking down the isle! Pam, Hannah’s sister had a surprise for her that I knew about before hand! She got her the most beautiful sash for her dress that she had wanted! Hannah was very surprised. Wedding time! Lake Amanda was a beautiful setting for a summer wedding but it sure was hot! No one let that stop the day! It was beautiful! From all three sisters being escorted by the groomsmen, to the shy flower girl, to the father of the bride escorting the bride! Jace had so much love in his eyes (even if there weren’t tears). It was beautiful done!
Next we headed to reception and had an armadillo cake!!! That was requested by Jace. And the wedding cake was simply stunning! Food was provided by the family!

Ashley & Chad Whitworth Wedding
Stunning! That’s the word that fits this bride! I met Ashley around 7 years ago while looking for a home. I became her family photographer, milestone photographer, engagement photographer, bridal photographer and her wedding photographer! She took her STUNNING bridals in Chester, Texas at Camp Ta-ku-la. The church is elegant and historical! The windows make it! Her daughter and soon-to-be daughter helped her in each pose and they had great laughs together.
Chad and Ashley chose Black Creek Ranch in Warren, TX for their engagement photos. This venue is rustic country at its finest! Full of charm and beauty! It really is a unique place!
For their big day, they wanted it to take place in church! Woodville Methodist has beautiful stained glass. The wedding was full of love, family and friends! Tears were shed as bride and groom saw each other. Everyone was just happy to be part of this beautiful day! Reception followed in the Wesley Center behind the church. Shona Clark of Rustic Rose Event Rentals (Kirbyville, TX) did a fantastic job decorating the church and reception hall and did a beautiful job keeping everything in line and on time! Catering was done by Kevin Stark of Country Boys Catering. Cakes were provided by Dena Reed and the DJ was Brad Evans. Hair and makeup for bride and bridesmaids was provided by Kali Gray at Oh So Alain. Ashley’s beautiful wedding dress was from Whittington Bridal!
The most memorable wedding day moments were the laughs by the bridesmaids as they prepared for the day, the flower girls twirls around the church, the loving tears, the heat (boy was it hot), and the STUNNING bride! BUT most of all, it was the love from everyone that embraced the bride and groom. Every family member and every friend was so happy and loving toward each other.
